Anna Marsh, bassoon

Anna Marsh, bassoon, has a wide variety of musical interests and performs regularly on modern, baroque and classical bassoon, dulcian, shawm, recorders, saxophones, keyboards and voice.  She has appeared with Chicago Opera Theater, the Hollywood Bowl, Banff Centre for the Arts, Musica nel Chiostro, Sante Fe Pro Musica, Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, Chicago Chorale, Aradia Ensemble, Washington Bach Consort, the National Gallery of Art, Indianaplois Museum of Art, Tafelmusick, Opera Atelier and others. She is finishing a doctorate in historical bassoons at Indiana University where she was a winner of the Early Music Institute’s 2005 concerto competition and the 2006 Latin American Music competition. She serves as a co-music director for the Renaissance group Lipzodes, a finalist for the Early Music America  Medieval and Renaissance competition. Anna appears as a guest artist on Centaur Records’ “Bassically French” album and has also recorded for Naxos, Publick Musick, Dan Fournier and Radio Friendly.
